Redemption Bar Review

Food Critic London vegan food Vegan Restaurant Review

The Redemption Bar has long been on my list to try, I rocked up on a rainy Sunday afternoon for a yummy brunch and it didn't disappoint. The cafe although small is bustling with a friendly and laid back vibe. The staff are cheerful and made me feel right at home with a fast and efficient service.

I ordered the avocado on toast and a side of sweet potato chips. The avocado came on homemade bread that was moist with seeds in abundance, toppings of tomato, rocket and sprouts with a squeeze of lemon - delicious. The sweet potatoes were a welcome addition and were soft and fluffy and seasoned perfectly. My companion got the mushrooms on toast. These mushrooms were not just the average fried limp and soggy fare I've had elsewhere, but a variety of different mushrooms swimming in a creamy, herby and unctuous sauce! I left feeling full and replete. Totally sorry I didn't get pics of the other dishes but they got gobbled up pretty quickly! I felt healthy, energised and light despite my large lunch - winning!

I'll definitely be visiting The Redemption Bar soon a little closer to home at the Shoreditch location and I can't wait!
